In our reality, Annie Ghazikhanian is the mutant-hating mother of Carter Ghazikhanian and the former nurse for Alex Summers, the X-Man known as Havok. Annie became infatuated with Alex while he was in a coma and in her care. She came to work at the Xavier Institute to continue tending after her him. After Alex regained consciousness, it was discovered that Carter had used his mutant powers to mind link his mother to Alex while he was in a coma. The two began a serious relationship after learning the truth.
