Alpha Flight
James Hudson was inspired to create a team of superhumanly powerful agents to go on missions for the Canadian government after reading a newspaper account of how Reed Richards and three of his friends became the Fantastic Four. Wolverine aided Hudson in the initial phases of the creation of the team organized under the auspices of the Canadian government's Department H that would be called Alpha Flight. The standard procedure for recruits is to have them begin as part of a training team called Gamma Flight. Upon successfully completion, recruits would move into a transitional team, Beta Flight, to receive more advanced training. Those who proved to be successes in Beta Flight as well would finally join Alpha Flight, the team participating in major missions. |

Unlike our world's Alpha Flight, this version had four levels of Flight and two more in the works instead of only three. When the Hulk entered Canada, he became Canada's problem and Canada's problems are Alpha Flight's problems. This paved way for Project Goliath, a mission headed by Wolverine for the capture of the Green Menace. However, when Wolverine discovered that everyone on Project Goliath was going to die unless the Exiles intervened, Logan sent Beta through Gamma Flight to Australia to assist the Fantastic Four with the massive relocation of Namor and the Kingdom of Atlantis. The Hulk was eventually beaten into submission by the Exiles' Thunderbird, an alternate version of this reality's Shaman of Alpha Flight.

This version of Alpha Flight was also led by Wolverine until the remaining controllers of the Weapon X program activated a dormant chip hidden in Logan's adrenal gland that caused him to go insane. Sasquatch would be forced to kill Wolverine and would eventually fill the vacant field leader position.
