In our reality, Marrina married Prince Namor the Sub-Mariner and became Queen of his new undersea kingdom Deluvia. When Deluvia failed and Namor returned to the surface world as an outcast, Marrina left with him. Namor then accepted membership with the hero team Avengers, and Marrina became an associate of the team. Marrina's become pregnant and the condition triggered a transformation into a huge savage sea creature resembling the mythical Leviathan. After sinking several fleets of ships and ravaging Atlantis, the Avengers hunted her down. Ultimately, it was Namor who mortally wounded her with the Black Knight's Ebony Blade. Marrina, whose body had changed back into its normal form, was then buried by Namor with the honor fitting one who had been his mate and an associate of the Avengers.

Wolverine's Alpha Flight (Debriefing) Appearances: 5 Marrina was part of Project Goliath, a mission headed by Wolverine for the capture of the Hulk. However, when Wolverine discovered that everyone on Project Goliath was going to die unless the Exiles intervened, Logan sent Beta through Gamma Flight to Australia to assist the Fantastic Four with the massive relocation of Namor and the Kingdom of Atlantis. The Hulk was eventually beaten by Thunderbird, an alternate version of this reality's Shaman.
