Namorita can lift about 10 tons at peak capacity, although her strength degrades the longer she is out of water. She is an amphibian and breathes water and air. When in the water, her abilities stamina, agility, and reflexes are at superhuman levels. When on land, these same abilities are at the levels of an athlete. She can also fly up to 35 mph.

In our reality, Namorita is the daughter of the Human/Atlantean hybrid Namora. Because all hybrids are sterile, Namorita is actually the cloned progeny of her mother However, the science of cloning is illegal in her homeworld, so the rest of Atlantis is unaware that Namorita is a clone. She is the first cousin, once removed, of Namor the Sub-Mariner and the two share an unknown bond that allows them to sense the other's presence when they are within close proximity to one another.
