Appearances: 12-13, 23-25, 38-40, 43-45
The Spider, our world's Spider-Man, apparently merged with the symbiotic costume that he possesses, similiar to the Carnage symbiote of our reality. In his home dimension, this selfish, psychotic murderer is serving sixty seven consecutive life sentences for his transgressions. When Hyperion joined Weapon X, proclaimed himself the de facto leader of the group, and planned his conquest of a world, the Spider became one of his cronies, though his allegiance could be attributed to self-preservation for fear of death at the hands of Hyperion rather than a true sense of loyalty. Hyperion's action caused the Timebroker to pit Weapon X and the Exiles in a battle royale to the death in order to decrease their ranks.
During this conflict, the Spider was killed by his teammate Firestar whom he had previously helped in keeping incapacitated and tortured. He met a fiery demise as Firestar caused herself to self-combust in a wonderful blaze of glory.

Mainstream Universe
In our reality, Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactove spider that endowed him with the powers to become Spider-Man. He possesses superhuman strength, reflexes, and equilibrium, the ability to cause parts of his body to stick with great tenacity to most surfaces, and a subconscious premonitional Spider-Sense. His overall metabolic efficiency has been greatly increased, and the composition of his skeleton, inter-connected tissues, and nervous system have all been enhanced. His musculature has been augmented so that he can lift about 10 tons. His reflexes are faster than an average human by about a factor of 15, enabling him to dodge bullets, if he is far enough away. Spider-Man is extraordinarily limber and his tendons and connective tissues are twice as elastic as the average human being's, despite their enhanced strength. He has developed a unique fighting style that makes full use of his powers.
