Wonder Man
Real Name: Simon Williams

Height: 6'2"
Weight: 380 lbs.

Hair: Grey (Dyed Black)

Wonder Man possesses superhuman strength, durability, stamina as well as flight. He is is composed of "ionic energy," or organic matter that is permeated with this form of energy. He no longer requires food, water, or air, since the energy that gives him life is far more self-sustaining than the biochemical processes of ordinary humans. Because of the energy empowering him, Wonder Man no longer ages.

In our reality, Simon Williams was brought to trial, found guilty of, and given a prison sentence for embezzling money under the advice of his brother. Baron Heinrich Zemo had read of Williams' case and, intrigued by the newspapers' assertion that he blamed Anthony Stark for his downfall, dispatched the Enchantress to bail out and recruit Williams for the Masters of Evil. Williams agreed to become a test subject for Zemo's "ionic ray" treatment, a process that would endow him with superhuman strength and durability. To ensure Wonder Man's cooperation, Zemo told him that a side effect of the treatment that gave him his superhuman powers was that it altered his metabolism so that he would die within the week unless he was given regular treatments of an unspecified antidote. Williams would turn on Zemo when he decided he could not betray the Avengers, who had helped try to cure him, even if it cost him his life. Deprived of Zemo's life-prolonging treatment, Williams succumbed to the side effect of his power acquisition, but did not truly pass away. Instead, he fell into a coma and would later be revived with considerable psychological trouble from his death.

Wonder Man was on hand when Iron Man was able to kill the Hulk of this timeline by dropping a high concentration Gamma Bomb on him that created a radiation storm. Standing only 20 feet away at the time, Williams's ionic energy combined with the gamma rays and the genetic material he absorbed from the disintegarting Banner making him into a new kind of stronger Hulk. As part of the Occult, he would hide on the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands where the Scarlet Witch and Stephen Strange used their magic to mask them from Iron Man who rules the planet with an iron fist. Their location was unconvered by Weapon X who had come to steal the means to bring down the Attilan G-Barrier. The two engaged the bandits in battle when the Spider took Wanda hostage and enraged the Wonder Man into becoming a Hulk-like creature. At this point, Gambit, the leader of Weapon X, opened a portal to the Negative Zone using on of Stark's latest inventions. The Hulk of the Weapon X Team, Jennifer Walters, tackled Wonder Man, sending both of the Jade Giants through the opening.
